  • An embedded excavator telescopic boom has a structure where the first section is fixed, and the rest are movable sections, all housed within the fixed section. The principle is that one section connects to the second, the second to the third, and so on, with extension or retraction controlled by hydraulic cylinders. A nested excavator telescopic boom has only one fixed section and two or
    more movable sections; the number of hydraulic cylinders is the total number of movable sections minus one. This type of excavator telescopic boom offers a larger working radius, but its structure is more complex and its production cost is higher. It is generally designed with three or more sections and is typically used on excavators operating in deep pits or at heights.

    OperatePrinciple:


    The built-in hydraulic cylinder telescopic boom is made of wear-resistant and high-temperature-resistant square steel. Through high-precision machining, the first, second, and third sections are completely and tightly fitted together. Work is completed by pushing or retracting the boom using a stroke cylinder. This type of telescopic boom has a limited working depth, focusing on vertical excavation, but has a very small turning radius, enabling it to handle more complex working conditions than a two-section extended boom.


    The external hydraulic cylinder telescopic boom is also made of high-strength steel formed square tubing, consisting of three or more sections. It utilizes steel cables and pulley systems to freely extend and retract, achieving maximum excavation depth. It is widely used in urban street construction, such as subway entrance excavation and elevated bridge foundation pit excavation.


    ApplicationScope:


    Telescopic booms are generally divided into those with built-in hydraulic cylinders and those with external hydraulic cylinders. Built-in cylinder booms operate on the same principle as truck-mounted crane booms, while external cylinder booms are designed based on pulley block principles. They are primarily used for excavating caissons and deep foundation pits. Built-in cylinder telescopic booms have an excavation depth of less than 12 meters, while external cylinder booms are available in depths of 25-35 meters. Various types of grab buckets can be mounted on the front.
